Dear Jerry,
Happy February and in case your didn't notice it
is a leap year
February was the last month to be added to
the calendar, since the Romans originally
considered winter a monthless period. February
was named for the Roman god Februus, the god of
purification
Chandelier Earrings
Chandelier earrings have made quite a splash since
Richard Graziano first showed them in 1999. At
first,
nobody paid any attention, and then Vogue magazine
ran a feature article showing the new earrings in
November 1999. The rest is history.
These have has graced the beauty of such
notables as
Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Kate
Hudson, Julianne Moore and Diane Lane.
It's amazing what effects can be produced with a
bit of
sterling silver diamond-cut curb chain, head pins,
garnet Swarovski diamond-shaped and blue Capri
round
crystals and a selection of chandelier earring
findings.
We keep running out of these --- But they are in
stock again.
We now have a line of Chandelier earrings Findings.

Beading Scam |
 |
|
Unique Gems, has fleeced tens of millions of
dollars from South Floridians, it was a
work-at-home Ponzi scheme that used the famed
astrologer Walter
Mercado as a pitchman. It promised big rewards
to those willing to plunk down thousands for
kits to assemble beaded necklaces.
Founded in 1995, Unique Gems promoted its
get-rich-quick schemes at lavish parties and
milked a photo of company officials with
President Clinton -- a picture taken after the
firm had made an $85,000 campaign contribution
that was later returned.
Some of those investors later said they had
taken out second mortgages on their homes, run
up huge credit-card bills and borrowed from
friends and family to purchase the kits. It was
shut down in 1997 by state authorities
who dubbed it a classic Ponzi scheme in which
earlier investors were paid off by later ones.

What's New |

Lots of new gemstones and freshwater pearls,
with more added everyday. We haved added two new
lines;
Goldstone Beads - Goldstone is made of glass and
copper.
Originally they were made in the dolomites by
monks "to the honor of God" which means they
tried to make Gold out of other materials
(alchemy). The secret was well kept, and even
rumors spread that this stone was naturally
found in mines. Funny enough, no-one ever could
specify a mine where this stone came from. The
Chinese, world famous for their knowledge on
pottery/china making soon discovered the secret
how to make this stone. Nowadays, the most
exciting material actually comes from china and
not Italy or Austria any more.
Mother-of-Pearl - Throughout
history, certain cultures have placed little or
no value on pearls and have focused instead on
luminescent mother-of-pearl from mollusk shells.
Before the 19th century, Japanese shell divers
who found pearls apparently did not bother to
keep them. Polynesian children are said at one
time to have used pearls as marbles. These and
other peoples harvested pearl oysters for their
shells, using the mother-of-pearl for decoration.
