Stones and Their Meanings
We like to assign meanings, portents and signs to numbers, colors and symbols that we encounter everyday. Mystics gaze into crystal balls, we read horoscopes and tea leafs. We search for the meaning of life.

You can find a plethora of information on the web about the healing and mystic powers of gems. The big questions are. Can Crystals and Gems heal? Can they influence your mood and give you a boost?

The answers are; Of course they can. Luck and health are really both pretty much mind over matter, but carrying a crystal is no substitute for good planning, a healthy lifestyle and a visit to the Doctor when you feel sick.
What I found while researching birthstones, metaphysical powers, etc.
Most of what I have been able to find about metaphysical properties of gemstones, seem to point to the work of George Frederick Kunz works, especially "The Curious Lore of Precious Stone". Be sure to read about this man.
